EMDR is a good treatment for general anxiety depression, trauma, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). EMDR changes the nature of traumatic memories and disturbing events that cause intense suffering. The memories are reprocessed or re-calibrated and allows one to use new evidence to reduce negative emotions. Using EMDR processing, the mind can heal from these experiences quickly and effectively. Gone are those intrusive thoughts, feelings, flashbacks, and nightmares.
